ORIGINS OF THE DESIGN FOR ALL AND THE FOUNDATION

The development of the Design for All concept was strongly linked with Barcelona city, since it was in our city that it was first introduced in April 1995 during the General Assembly of the European Institute for Design and Disability (EIDD). Presently, Design for All is already a well-known concept and is applied in many fields of daily life, administrations, users and companies.

Due to the great importance that Design for All has acquired in such a short time, the need to create a management structure was needed, which would promote, disseminate, develop and manage Design for All in our society.

In this way, with the setting up of the DESIGN FOR ALL FOUNDATION, it aims to form a group of leaders of the companies, organisations, and administrations that feel the need to improve the attitude of their organisation regarding sustainability and human diversity.
